Pigment Lane is a working art studio for adults who want a regular place to draw, paint, look closely, and keep going. Come as a complete beginner or with a long-paused practice.

Our classes begin with observation: a still life, a room corner, a figure reference, a colour relationship. The point is not to produce a finished picture every week. It is to build the habits that make a finished picture possible: returning to the page, noticing proportion, mixing a quieter colour, and asking a useful question.
Sessions are led in small groups, with time for individual direction and time to work without interruption. You can join a weekly course, book a focused Saturday workshop, or use an open studio session to continue something already underway. Materials are available in the studio, and you are welcome to bring the tools that feel like your own.

Start with line and tone in Drawing Foundations, move into colour through Paint Lab, or take a one-day subject workshop. Each course is intentionally adult-focused: practical, curious, and free from pressure to be “naturally talented.” We teach methods you can take home, then make room for the strange, satisfying work of finding your own visual language.
